Robotic Multi-Process Thermal Spray System

Aerospace applications requiring different spray guns are all accommodated in this robotic multi-process system.  The robot, spindles, part cooling, and spray processes are all controlled via CITS Pro^®.  Dual spindles on dual work doors allow for setting up the next part while the current part is being sprayed. Cooling nozzles mounted on the door can be configured for each part. Quick-change tooling on the robot allows for rapid changeover between spray guns.

• Progressive 100HE® plasma gun and LiquifeederHE® for SPS capability
• HVOF spray with Metco DJ gun and closed loop gas controls
• Dual door/dual spindle configuration allows greater productivity
• ABB IRB 2600 robot with two auxiliary axis drives for the two spindles
• Two gram rate-controlled powder feeders integrated with CITS Pro® controller
• Integrated ventilation system
