Progressive Waterjet Cleaning Facility

This ultra-high pressure water jet cleaning system is designed to remove coatings from aircraft engine components up to 101″ (2.57m) diameter. It offers 7-axes of robotic controlled coordinated waterjet cleaning motion. Nozzle motions are achieved using a Fanuc M710i articulated arm robot that has been mounted on an angle to prevent water pooling. This machine was fitted with an optional nozzle verification tool which allows the system to verify that the nozzle installed is the correct length and at the correct location preventing the risk of the wrong nozzle being used.
